Three-peat Champion For CSWC Malaysia

Amazing CSWC qualifier in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

CSWC winners of Malaysia 2022 

Kuala Lumpur witnessed history at The Cigar Smoking World Championship’s Malaysian qualifying event held on Saturday 30th of July. The event at Chime Sheraton Petaling Jaya Hotel was won by Mr Wilson Lim. The three-peat effort for Lim was achieved with a time of 2 hours, 10 minutes with Lim just falling short of his 2021 record time of 2 hours, 22 minutes and 32 seconds. Wilson won in 2020 with a time of 1:41:13.

Focus and competition spirit in Malaysia

Second place was won by Mr Areeb Wahab with a time of 1hour 43mins. Wahab was also second in 2021, with a time of 1 hour 53mins. CSWC Malaysia 2022 was also a historical event with female competitor entering the competition and achieving a place. Ms Nina, part of the Indonesia contingent who flew in for the event, came in third place with a time of 1hour 25mins.

“It was an honour for Trinidad Cigar Company to host the 4th edition of Malaysia’s CSWC Qualification round,” said Mr Hazely Harun. “Andreas Vogiatzakis was a fantastic judge for the second time and made it a fantastic evening. Congratulations to Wilson, Areeb, Nina, and all our competitors. We hope everyone enjoyed the atmosphere and the camaraderie during the event. Trinidad Cigar Company is hoping to organize a bigger CSWC Malaysia in future to cater to a larger group of Indonesian competitors.
