The amazing CSWC qualification championship took place in Split Croatia at the beautiful hotel Briig. The hotel's cozy cigar room was the ideal setting for the slow smoking race of some of the best smokers of the season 2022 - one of the biggest favorites was Ivan Zizic, who placed himself on the season's TOP 20 list with an incredible time of 2 hours and 19 minutes, which he managed to achieve before two weeks in CSWC London as a guest smoker. The second one was, of course, Guy Pardillos, the current Crootian Champion, who came very motivated to defend his title as the best Croatian smoker

That was an outstanding slow smoking race - and this is why CSWc is so exciting - competitions like this, where two masters fight to the last puff in the photo finish. Craotian finale was truly incredible. - Marko Bilic, CSWC Founder

Game started hot and Dario Pavelin from the very start had construction issues , but he managed to keep them under control. Nika Pavelin, one of the best Croatian slow smokers, finished strongly on the 4th place. The biggest surprise was newcomer Vedran the "Messi," who finished third in his first race with 1 hour, 35 minutes, and 37 seconds.

True drama began after Vedran left the game. Guy Pardillos led the game almost the entire time, with the exception of one situation in which Ivan Zizic took the lead. Guy quickly reclaimed the lead, and the photo finish game began, with a battle of nerves and ultimate focus that only such two big players can provide. In the end, Guy Pardillos accomplished something that only a few national champions in the world have done: he successfully defended his title as National Champion. Guy completed the task in 1 hour, 54 minutes, and 28 minutes. Ivan missed out on the title of Croatian Champion by 29 seconds, but with his official time of 2 hours and 19 minutes in the UK, he is the only Craotian slow smoker who entered the TOP 20 list of the season  (10th place) and officially holds the Croatian record for the season.

Marija Marovic and Natasa Kresevic performed admirably as judges, leaving no room for manipulation outside of the rules, implying that the Grand Final judging will be harsh.
