Impressive winning time by one of the most remarkable smokers, famously known as the "specialist of tunneling."

Sergey Galevski became famous not only for his outstanding long times, often over three hours, but also for mastering one of the most difficult skills in slow smoking competitions – tunneling under the ring. At the Latvian Open CSWC in 2017, Sergey achieved what many thought was impossible: he created the “pipe” effect on his competition cigar, smoking so long under the ring that he formed a visible hole in the remainder of the cigar without harming his lips or tongue. He went on to use this skill many times to outmatch some of the world’s best slow smokers who hadn’t mastered this technique at Sergey’s exceptional level.

This helped him become champion of Russia during the golden era of Russian slow smoking stars like Shagai, Pedan, and others. With his talent and instinct for cigar smoking, he managed to conquer them many times. Unfortunately, he never participated in the Grand Final to showcase his skill against top slow smokers like Hauke, Tomasz, or Boris, but many hope to one day witness his unbelievable talent during the final race for the world’s best title.

This year at the CSWC tournament in Belarus, he did it again – for the first time on an Oliva cigar, he pulled off the “pipe effect”, earning the title of Belarusian Champion. Everyone was in shock, and both spectators and competitors were in total awe, wondering how it was even possible.

But to start from the beggining - this July 25, 2026, the Fourth Belarusian Open Slow Smoking Championship, the national stage of the CSWC, took place in the cozy "Wood & Fire" cigar lounge in Minsk, the hospitable capital of Belarus. The tournament was organized by the cigar enthusiasts from the "Epicure" Cigar Club and the team of the "Wood & Fire" lounge, a prominent cigar venue in Minsk that unites the local cigar community.

The competition, with strict and impartial judging provided by judge Dmitry Nokhrin, The tournament's cigar, the exquisite Oliva CSWC Mareva, displayed an uncontrollably capricious and wayward character that was undoubtedly difficult to master, adding to the intrigue. However, our athletes' persistence and skill enabled them to achieve remarkable results.

As we mentioned above - Sergey Galevskii posted a time of 3:01:59. Second place went to the charming cigar lady, Olesia Nokhrina, with a time of 1:48:02. Long ago, in 2017 and 2018, she had already won prizes in slow cigar smoking competitions in Estonia and Latvia. She had not participated in cigar competitions for a long time, and the Belarusian tournament became the moment of her bright return!

Third place went to Anton Karpov, a confident and professional competitor and member of the "Epicure" Cigar Club, with a time of 1:44:06.

The winners were awarded prizes from the CSWC and its sponsors: Oliva, St. Dupont, DeArt, Bosquet, Damat, Cuervo & Sobrinos, and Boveda. The hospitable hosts provided a magnificent buffet, providing guests with a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere and an abundance of snacks and drinks!
