Canada has a new Cigar Smoking World Championship National Champion, and a new Canadian record.
The 2026 CSWC Canadian Final brought together cigar enthusiasts and competitors for an unforgettable evening of competition, camaraderie, and great cigars.
With a full competition room and a strong field competing for the national title, the excitement was palpable from the opening light to the final moments of the competition. At the centre of it all was one big question: could anyone dethrone two-time Canadian National Champion Konstantin Sarginov?
For more than an hour, the competition remained wide open. Then, at the 1:14:00 mark, Sarginov's cigar extinguished, officially ending his run for a third consecutive Canadian title and opening the door for a new champion to emerge.
Youssef Mokbel Crowned 2026 Canadian National Champion
As the competition moved into its final stages, Dan Danyshyn secured third place with an impressive time of 1:17:00. Milosov Lukaroski pushed well beyond that mark, keeping his cigar going until 1:28:00 and earning second place;
But the night belonged to Youssef Mokbel. Youssef, a cigar retailer and owner of Smoke Masters Cigars, kept his cigar burning for an outstanding 1:35:00, earning first place and the title of 2026 CSWC Canadian National Champion. His performance also made Canadian CSWC history. Youssef's winning time of 1:35:00 set a new Canadian National Record, raising the bar for future competitors across the country.
