On April 24th, in the heart of Split, Croatia, a historic moment for the cigar world unfolded as the Cigar Smoking World Championship (CSWC) and Oliva Cigar Co. officially launched their global partnership during an unforgettable black-tie gala dinner.

Hosted by Club Mareva and The Luxury Network Adria, the evening brought together the world’s finest aficionados, industry leaders, and friends of the CSWC to mark the beginning of a new chapter. All guest was guided through night by Ana Roncevic CEO of Luxury Network Adria

The night was set ablaze with elegance, emotion, and tradition as over 30 exclusive guests from around the world gathered to witness the symbolic lighting of the first Oliva Mareva CSWC competition cigar.

Marko Bilić, founder of the CSWC, and Thomas Gryson, International Sales Director of Oliva, together lit the first cigar of the season, officially launching this exciting new global journey.

Guests of honor flew in from all over the world — even as far as China — to be part of this momentous occasion. Among them were:

Many respected Club Mareva international and national members were present to celebrate this landmark event

A highlight of the night was the first-ever public unveiling of the stunning CSWC Cuervo y Sobrinos “Espléndido” watch, presented personally by Mario Longhi, who traveled especially for the occasion.

Guests began their journey with a glamorous walk from Marmont Hotel to the rooftop of Restaurant Articok, where a candlelit welcome drink awaited with soft jazz, sparkling wine, and the first taste of the Oliva welcome cigar

Following a gourmet dinner and fine wines, guests were led by fire signal through Split’s historic Prokurative Square, where an epic fire show and ceremonial unveiling of the cigar box lit up the night in cinematic fashion.

The event wasn’t just a gala – it was a celebration of friendship, precision, history, and the global CSWC family.
