The first official CSWC by Oliva Serbia delivered everything we expected – a strong competitive spirit and a photo finish full of excitement.
In 2026, a new country joined the official CSWC calendar – CSWC by Oliva Cigars qualifier Serbia. Organized by Mr. Branko Lazarevic and the renowned Pura Vida cigar lounge in Belgrade, with support from the first-ever New World Cigar Association in Serbia, the “Burning Leaf” club, and its founder and president, Aleksandar Mihajlovic, the event was a true celebration of friendship and passion toward cigars.
That night, Pura Vida became the competition arena, hosting participants ranging from more experienced slow-smokers to absolute newcomers experiencing the thrill for the first time. Serbia delivered exactly what was expected – an intense race filled with fierce battles, surprising twists, early leaders dropping out, and quick burners at the start who managed to keep the fire alive to the end.
The real drama came at the finish line, where Joksovic and Vojnic fought to keep their cigars lit, risking burning ring penalties. In the end, Vojnic prevailed, eliminating Jooksovic and pulling off an unexpected feat – controlling the cigar fire without touching the ring, smoking beneath it for nearly 6 more minutes. His remarkable winning time placed both Serbia and his name in the current TOP 20 world rankings, among the top five times. It was a great surprise when Dejan Tadic took 3rd place. His outstanding first-ever performance in the CSWC race also earned him a spot on the top 20 list, which is a remarkable success.
Special guests included CSWC founder Marko Bilic, the now well-known CSWC instructor Dino Tomic, CSWC board chairman Mr. Pierre Gustavsson, Honorable member of Club Mareva Mr Ferit Raat from Turkey, and international judge from Germany, Mr. Christian Tockel. CSWC Serbia was a resounding success, and great things are expected from Luka at the Grand Final in Dubrovnik.
