CSWC judge Fabio Ventura hosted an excellent prequalification heat in Rome-Fiumicino, at the beautiful Roberto & Rossella cigar lounge.

An exciting prequalifier took place in Fiumicino, Italy, featuring fresh faces in the game alongside seasoned veterans who achieved impressive results in the heat organized by Fabio Ventura. The beautiful Roberto & Rossella cigar lounge served as the arena for the slow smoking race, which brought some intriguing outcomes.

Winning times were influenced by several exciting factors, including hefty penalty minutes for ash and generally shorter smoking times with the new Oliva CSWC competition cigar freshly made for season 2026.
This round showed how much penalty minutes can influence the final results, adding excitement and keeping all participants in the game until the very end. At the same time, Oliva CSWC, freshly prepared for this season, delivered some shorter winning times, though it’s still just the start of the season.
While some competitors still aim for long smoking times, it seems that achieving a good position in the competition is becoming more important than the total time itself. This is the direction the CSWC organization plans to follow, with big surprises awaiting the community in the coming years regarding this matter.
Final times:
Gianni Martelletti - 1h 02min 00sec
Fabio Alivernini - 0h 50min 10sec
