In the elegant setting of Wood & Fire Cigar Lounge, Belarus once again welcomed the Cigar Smoking World Championship (CSWC) by Oliva Cigars, and what unfolded was more than just a qualifier — it was a statement. A declaration. A warning.

The CSWC by Oliva Cigars continues to deliver thrilling twists this season, and the Belarus qualifier was no exception. In the elegant setting of the “Symposium” venue, with its classic ambiance resembling an old European library, one thing became crystal clear: Oleg Pedan is back.

With a stunning slow-smoking time of 3 hours and 4 minutes, Pedan didn’t just win the event — he made a statement. This result, the best since the new Oliva Mareva cigar was introduced, came just days after German legend Hauke Walter’s 2h 40min finish in Düsseldorf — a time well below his world-class average.

Now the stage is shifting.
Is Hauke saving his fire for Split? Will this strong comeback from Oleg create pressure — or serve as fuel for Hauke’s legendary hunger for a fourth world title? Or could Oleg rise and equal Hauke’s triple crown, creating a historical clash between the two greatest champions of CSWC?

The atmosphere in Belarus was electric, with 22 participants, including regional giants like Alexander Shagai, Anastasia Arsenova, and Sergey Galevsky. All showed top-tier skills, but it was Pedan’s performance that set the room buzzing — and sent shockwaves through the global CSWC community.

With less than two months to the Grand Final, we may be witnessing the formation of one of the most dramatic rivalries in CSWC history — two champions on a collision course, both with everything to prove.

One thing is certain: Split is going to burn slower and brighter than ever.
