The best of the CSWC Germany 2022 - Hauke Walter, Astrid Walter and Matthias Probst

CSWC Germany delivered exactly what we expected: a top performance by one of the world's best slow smokers, Mr Hauke Walter, World Champion 2018 and Germany's unbeaten champion since 2018. He not only performed brilliantly this time, but he also set some new records. Matthias Probst, who gave a stellar performance in this qualifier, landed in the top 20 best times of the season and he is a big and nice surprise.

Hauke is a fantastic competitor, a true champion who is completely focused and dedicated to the main goal of pushing that competition Rocky Patel cigar to its absolute limits. I believe it will be thrilling to witness the Grand Final in Split this year.- Kolja Kukuk, CSWC Judge

Martina Klainlagel and Patricia Benden were among the slow smoking vetterans gathered by CSWC Germany. Marko Bilic, the founder of CSWC, was also present, saying, "I would never miss an opportunity to see some of my favorite cigar people on the planet - the Klainlagel and Benden families, and the most amazing cigar shop - Cigar World." Great German CSWC Judge crew Philipp Kugler, Klaus Klainlagel, Thomas Geisler, and Kolja Kukuk were all in judge action there. Ivan Zizic, a Club Mareva member from Split, Croatia, was only international  guest smoker at CSWC German.

Hauke Walter did an outstanding job. He took the initiative from the start. Other competitors were very nearly equal, but in the final third, Matthias Probst took a big advantage and was waiting for Hauke to make a mistake. He didn't get to see Hauke's mistake, but he finished second with an incredible time. Prior to him, cigar was lost for Astrid Walter, Hauke's wife, who finished third. Hauke finished in 3 hours and 19 minutes as the clear winner and the new leader of the TOP 20 list of the season's best smokers. He also set a record, becoming the fastest official time on the Rocky Patel Competition cigar. German and Polish smokers demonstrated their good competition spirits. That is why we can anticipate a lot of excitement at the grand final in Split.
