Drew Emch from USA - the biggest surprise from season 2022

What can we expect from the 2023 season? Season 2022 was full of surprises, proving that CSWC will always keep and provide new thrills and positive shocks that are symbols of the world's most popular sports. Yes, CSWC has that possibility as well, and Season 2022 demonstrated it to the best of its ability.
Even now, the CSWC's relatively long history has produced some names, legends, and super stars of this great CSWC challange of slow smoking race, with the present showing us that new names and talents are emerging, promising so much excitement in the CSWC's future.

Borys Szkodzik  World Champion 2022

Poland achieved a great deal. Why we said their success was not a surprise is because Poland has been at the top of this game for more than half a decade. Borys and Klaudia Ide of Poland provided two amazing competitors and an amazing couple last year.
In 2021, they already announced their big show on the CSWC stage - Borys finished second in the Grand Final and Klaudia finished third, earning the title of Woman World Champion for 2021. In 2023, they started strong on official Time Chase events and qualification tournaments, demonstrating that they are more than ready for big results. Borys became the 12th World Champion of the CSWC for the year 2022, and Klaudia repeated her success from the previous year by winning the Woman World Champion title.

Igor Kovacic - World Record Holder

Hauke Walter, former world champion and one of the CSWC's super stars, made an impressive showing in the qualification round with nearly three and a half hours of smoking; he promised a lot, but the grand final was not his best day. The biggest surprise of the 2022 season came from the United States - Drew Emch. Drew appeared out of nowhere, winning the pre-qualifier in the USA with an average time of 1 hour and 40 minutes, and a few months later in the US final, he performed a miracle, smoking 3 hours and 19 minutes, putting him at the top of the season's TOP 20 list and as one of the top favorites for the title of the World Champion. He finished second, almost reaching the top of the world

Dmitry Smirnow from Latvia

Dmitry Smirnow from Latvia is another big surprise; even though dmity is a CSWC veteran, he woke up this turbo competition mod and finished as the champion of Estonia and on the Grand Final, finishing third in the final race.

Henrik Kristensson, the World Champion from 2021, had a great season with average execution on the Grand Final.

Season 2022 was the worst for Igor Kovacic, aka Swedish Tiger, the current World record holder. Igor had adjustment issues to the new Rocky Patel competition cigar from the new era, and we haven't seen much from him in a few years.

So, season 2023 will undoubtedly be intense, with a lot of expectations and excitement, with old and new names on the line of fire, possibly with some new newcomers and surprises, or old superstars making big comebacks.
