For current USA record holder Nick Paretta, CSWC Malbourne, Florida was dangerously close.Jimmy Vita "Boston Jimmy's" brilliant performance not only brought him the joy of victory, but also places him high on the current TOP 20 list of the season's best smokers.
More specifically, he is only a minute slower than his countryman, Nick Paretta, the current USA record holder.

The CSWC organization was eager to see his performance in the official, live competition. And he justified his interest by winning with a smoking time of 2 hours and 1 minute. "Boston Jimmy" is the best example of how slow smoking is a true "sport" in which training and practice develop the skills and tactics required to achieve winning times. Second place with nice smoking time of 1 hour and 32 minutes went in the hands of Grant Gillenwater and third place with solid time of 1 hour and 11 minutes belongs to Larry Newstrom.
